Kenny Barron Solos at UofL’s Comstock Hall

8:00 pm

Barron has been called “the most lyrical piano player of our time” by Jazz Weekly.  With five decades of playing under his belt, he’s a veteran of bands led by Dizzy Gillespie, Ron Carter, and Freddy Hubbard among others, a band leader in his own right, and has recorded mesmerizing duets of standards and his own beautiful compositions with both Stan Getz and Charlie Haden.

If you like thoughtful, melodic piano jazz, this show is a must see.
