[JazzInsider] Stompers' last night Monday at Comedy Central; Great jam session at Mozz on Tuesday

A real good jazz week coming up to warm us up for all the music happening
during Jamey Aebersold's jazz camp from July 3 through July 16.

Sadly, Monday marks the last show at the Comedy Caravan, at least for a
while, of Doug Finke's West Market Street Stompers.    If you enjoy the
high-spirited, high-swinging performances of the legendary Dixieland groups
of the 1930s, 40s and 50s, you should check out this Stompers show - not
sure where or when we'll see them again.

On Tuesdays, there's a great jam session at Mozz Restaurant on West Market
Street, organized by Mozz's house diva Carly Johnson.   This past week's
session was kicked off by an excellent house band including Craig Wagner on
guitar, Ansyn Banks on trumpet, Doug Elmore on bass and Mike Hyman on drums,
but probably 20 musicians took the stand during the session.    It would be
great if some more members of the jazz loving public showed up to support
it.

As you'll see below, there's lots more great jazz in town this week, so
please go out, enjoy yourself and support our local jazz artists and the
restaurants and bars that host them.
