We are an inclusive big band here to promote jazz in Louisville and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to enjoy the sounds and intricacies of jazz as well as providing a safe place for learning jazz at your own pace.
We start our rehearsals off with a small 30 minute jazz lesson/solo practice using toned down versions of popular jazz standards.
The rest of our time is spent learning big band pieces that are easy for new learners but still fulfilling for our more experienced players.
Come on and sit in during one of our rehearsals or join in on the fun! We will transpose any piece for you or try to write a piece that fits in with our big band pieces.
