The Louisville Jazz Society is excited to present Grammy award-winning alto sax virtuoso Jim Snidero and his quartet for a truly exciting evening of world-class jazz. Snidero has performed and/or recorded with Brother Jack McDuff, Frank Sinatra (recording Duets 2), the Mingus Big Band, Eddie Palmieri, Toshiko Akiyoshi, & Sting, and many more. The following elite players will be joining Snidero for this performance:
Stefan Karlsson, piano: Long-time member of the Eddie Gomez trio
Ugonna Okegwo, bass: Member of the Tom Harrell Quintet & Mingus Big Band
Jason Tiemann, drums: Performed with Benny Golson, David Liebman, Eric Alexander, & more
The Quartet’s performance for the Louisville Jazz Society will feature original music from his new release “House of Trane”, inspired by a visit to John Coltrane’s house on Long Island. CLICK HERE to view a video of Snidero describing the project.
