The Friends Big Band plays original jazz works by Louisville’s master musicians and composers. Following up their sellout appearance last year for the Louisville Jazz Society, the FBB will feature all-new compositions and arrangements by seven of its musicians.
Led by trombonist Doug Finke, the personnel includes:
Reeds: Meghan Pund, Kevin Doll, Derek Siebert, Noah Reed and Brandon Bell
Trumpets: Ryan Nottingham, Pat Harbison, Roger Leavering, Isaac Stephens and Thomas Putterbaugh
Trombones: Mike Smith, Ethan Evans, Matt Yarborough, Zach Hood and Elmer White
Rhythm: Jayson Zorn – guitar, Gabe Evens – piano, Cameron Gooden – bass, Terry O’Mahoney – drums, and Jared Andrews – percussion
