The Friends Big Band plays original jazz works by Louisville’s master musicians and composers. It is comprised of some of the top jazz musicians in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area.
Led by trombonist Doug Finke, the personnel includes
Reeds: Hunt Butler, Meghan Pund, Derek Siebert, Tim Whalen and Peter Meyer
Trumpets: Clark Hunt, Ansyn Banks, Ryan Nottingham, Isaac Stephens, Dana Fisher and Arabo Bey
Trombones: Chris Fortner, Ethan Evans, Matt Yarborough, Mike Smith and Anastasi Farfalios
Rhythm Section: Clay Moore, Gabe Evens, Doug Elmore and Terry O’Mahoney, plus a few surprise guests.
